AlfaOBD software for the diagnosis of cars



AlfaOBD software for the diagnosis of cars produced by FCA:
Alfa-Romeo, Fiat, Lancia, Dodge, RAM, Chrysler, Jeep. Peugeot (Boxer), Citroen (Jumper) are also covered. Although the software is primarily aimed at car owners, it offers the functionality of professional scanners. Numerous dealer-level diagnostic and setup procedures are available.

NOTE:
FCA vehicles since MY2018 have a Safety Gateway Module (SGW) installed. It blocks third-party diagnostics. To have full access to diagnostic functions, please use SGW bypass. Fiat 500X / JEEP Renegade / Compass (MP) owners, please make sure the bypass supports the second high speed CAN bus, the one which is connected to pins 12 and 13 of the car OBD socket.

NOTE:
If your Android device is not in the list of compatible devices on Google Play and you cannot install or update your installation, please contact info@alfaobd.com.
Make sure you have a compatible OBD interface. For a list of supported OBD interfaces, see www.alfaobd.com.

NOTE:
If AlfaOBD cannot connect to a car ECU with the message “Interface is reporting NO DATA” or “Interface is reporting CAN error”, it most likely means your interface is not compatible or defective.

AlfaOBD features include:
– Native support for electronic calculators used in Fiat group cars. Native support differs from AlfaOBD from many other diagnostic apps that only provide limited generic OBDII support for Fiat Group cars
– monitoring of various dynamic parameters of the engine, gearbox, ABS, climate control units and graphical presentation in the form of plots

– reading of static data:
ECU identification, system status, fault codes with probable causes and environmental information if applicable
– clearing of error codes
– active diagnostic and setup procedures for various equipment controlled by engine, gearbox, on-board computer, air conditioning, ABS, airbag, code check and other ECUs
– programming of the electronic key and the RF remote control

Application available in Czech, English, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish and Spanish. The languages are selectable via the Settings menu of the application.

NOTE:
If the plots are not updated, make sure “Force GPU Rendering” is disabled in “Settings” -> “Developer Option”.
